Derby weekend started off with the biggest derby of all with the AC Mags v Inter Mags. Everyone had been looking forward to this match for weeks and even a last minute pitch inspection couldn't prevent the game from starting.

With Sonny and Brandon also making their debuts it was sure to be an exciting day.

The match kicked off with AC on the wrong foot misplacing a pass right from kick off which was a sign of the things to come.

The first chance was created when the ball was played through to Josh who ran through on goal. Owen came off his line and made a smart save but the ball fell to Dylan who was behind Josh and following in.

Dylan calmly placed the ball into the goal to crazed shouts of 'offside' from the Inter line. Unfortunately the referee wilted under the pressure and ruled out the goal.

Oliver then had a run down the right hand side bofore unleashing a great shot that Owen saved really well.

Andrew picked up the ball in midfield and played a slide rule pass for Josh to run onto and he continued his confident run placing the ball past Owen to score the first of the day.

AC continued their dominance and Dylan picked up the ball in midfield accelerating past the last defender only for a puddle to stop the ball in it's tracks and deny him an excellent chance.

Dylan then had another chance down the right hand side but he dragged his shot wide of the far post.

Inter were battling well with Josh winning a lot of tackles and Daniel was very dangerous with his pace causing us a lot of problems. after a couple of dangerous runs were stopped, he picked the ball up just inside the Inter half and ran past Joe before unleashing a great shot that Owen was helpless to stop.

The match was a typical derby match with a lot of tought battling and the stick pitch didn't help.

However, AC were able to regain the lead when Dylan got clear of the Inter defence and after his first shot was partially saved by Owen who has been making some great saves all season, Dylan was able to slot the ball into the unguardded net

Half time AC 2 - Inter 1

The second half saw AC change their formation to combat the ever dangerous Daniel with Anthony tasked with the job of man marking him.

Anthony did a great job nullifying his threat but Inter were still a threat in the second half.

After a lot of scrappy play, with a few minutes of play left Jamie picked up the ball inside his own half from a throw in on the right hand side. Jamie ran at the AC defence and surged past Andrew before blasting his shot into the roof of the net.

Full time 2-2

All credit to Inter who put up a great show and played really well from Owen through to Daniel and Jamie.
